Physical Therapy

Gait training for ambulation and increased mobility

  • Sets up an individualized plan of care, in consultation with your doctor, with the patient’s goals in mind
  • Educates patients and caretakers about your diagnosis and treatment
  • Monitors your health, symptoms and vital signs
  • Provides wound care, ostomy care and other medical services

  • Develops verbal or nonverbal systems to improve your communication
  • Educates you and your caregivers about in-home exercises and strategies
  • Memory Care helps! We develop programs with structured memory tasks, problem solving, reasoning, visual and auditory aids to help you with cognitive impairments
  • We help patients with swallowing difficulties modify your diet, so that you learn safe swallow strategies

 

 

  • Modifies your home environment to improve safety and reduce fall risk
  •  Teaches you and your family how to safely complete daily tasks like bathing, dressing and cooking
  • Teaches you strategies to manage and take your medications properly
  • Recommends and assists you with using special equipment, such as shower chairs or bedside commodes
  • Teaches energy conservation techniques for breathing problems

  • Provides counseling and teaches you and your family coping skills
  • Advocates for you and your caregivers
  • Helps patients access financial assistance and health insurance coverage

  • Light housekeeping
  • Provides Companionship
  • Recognizes and communicates changes in your health status to the home health care team
  • Is an intermittent service paid by Medicare

Medicare doesn’t pay for:

 

  • 24-hour-a-day care at home
  • Meals delivered to your home
  • Homemaker services (like shopping, cleaning, and laundry), when this is the only care you need
  • Custodial or personal care (like bathing, dressing, or using the bathroom), when this is the only care you need

Amicable Healthcare is licensed by the Washington State Department of Health to provide facility and in-home placement services.

We are presently contracted with the City of Seattle Human Services Department Aging and Disability Services (ADS), Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Department of Developmental Disability services (DDD), and the Asian Counseling and Referral services of Seattle (ACRS).

Our team offers an array of quality services for people who are eldery, homebound, disabled, or with chronic illnesses. We are able to offer specialized care that is customized for each and every person. Whether you are getting care through the State or discharging from an inpatient facility, Amicable is here to help.

These services are offered in King, Pierce and Snohomish county.
